On February 5, 2014, 56-year-old Rodney Darnell Ruffin Sr. was shot and killed in Richmond, Virginia. He was found in the southside area of the city, and the case has remained unsolved since then. Ruffin’s death was part of a growing trend of gun violence in Richmond, and despite investigative efforts, no suspects have been identified or brought to justice.
