In the spring of 2009, the life of a young man was tragically cut short in Center Point, Alabama. On the morning of May 8th, 26-year-old Jimmy 'Brandon' Edwards, an African-American male, was found deceased in the driveway of a home in Jefferson County. An investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office determined that Edwards had died from a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
