On the evening of May 31, 2023, at approximately 9:18 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of Tupelo Way in Center Point, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Quindell Javon Rhodes suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Rhodes was promptly transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that night.
