In the late evening of April 27, 2024, in Center Point, Alabama, a call reporting a person down brought Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies to the 1500 block of Charter East Circle. There, they found 54-year-old Gemar Demetriece Hubbard, a male resident of the community, unconscious. Emergency medical services were already on the scene, rendering aid to Hubbard before he was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what were described as serious injuries.
Despite the efforts of
medical personnel, Gemar Hubbard succumbed to his injuries the following day, April 28, 2024. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office conducted an examination and determined that his death was the result of a homicide, caused by blunt force trauma. The initial report indicated that he had been assaulted with a blunt object, leading to his fatal injuries.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the death of Gemar Demetriece Hubbard as a homicide.
