Death by Force

On February 4, 2021, 17-year-old Camari DeVaughn Tyus of Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot during a family gathering in Center Point. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at a residence in the 300 block of 19th Court Northeast. Witnesses reported that an altercation broke out among attendees, during which a shot was fired, striking Tyus. He was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
