A 15 year old girl's remains are discovered 8 days after she vanished On November 6, 1998, 15-year-old Lisa Norrell disappeared while walking home after attending a quinceañera rehearsal in Antioch, California. She was last seen along the Pittsburg-Antioch Highway, a desolate and industrial area with no sidewalks. It was a decision that proved tragic. Lisa's mother reported her missing the next morning when she didn't return home. Despite an extensive search, Lisa's body was found eight days later on November 14 at a landscaping business along the highway.
She had been strangled, and authorities quickly classified her death as a homicide.
The investigation into Lisa's murder led to multiple suspects, including two men, Garry Walton and David Heneby, but due to a lack of evidence, they were released. Lisa's case, along with the murders of other women in the Pittsburg area around the same time, raised fears that a serial killer might be targeting women in the region.
