Rachel Cruise, a 32-year-old resident of Pittsburg, California, was tragically found dead on December 15, 1998. She had been strangled and her body was discovered in a ditch off California Avenue. Rachel had last been seen two days prior, on the evening of December 13. Her death occurred during a particularly violent period in Pittsburg, where several other women were also found murdered within a short timeframe.
