Meizhen Zhu, aged 56, was found dead on June 13, 2019, in Pittsburg, California, in what authorities determined to be a murder-suicide. Zhu and her boyfriend, 58-year-old Dong Liu, were discovered inside a parked vehicle near Nortonville and Kirker Pass roads. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds, and it was concluded that Liu had shot Zhu before taking his own life.
