Death by Force

Tyree Parks, an 18-year-old from Philadelphia, was tragically shot and killed on January 22, 2010. Parks was a high school senior who had recently received an acceptance letter to Bloomsburg University. His family was hopeful for his future, especially as they saw the opportunity for him to leave behind the dangerous environment of South Philadelphia. Unfortunately, Tyree was gunned down on his way home from a basketball game, a victim of the ongoing violence in the city.
