Authorities have released the name of a woman killed in a double shooting Friday night in Birmingham's Central Park community.
Birmingham police identified the victim as Lakandria Rush. She was 34, and a mother.
Officers from the city's West Precinct responded about 10:30 p.m. to the 4800 block of Terrace S. Once on the scene, they found Rush sitting in the passenger seat of a GMC Yukon suffering from a gunshot wound to the body, said Lt. Sean Edwards.
