Kristy Denise Harrison, age 35, a Black female, was killed on the night of Sunday, August 31, 2025, when gunfire was sprayed into a home on the 1400 block of Ford Avenue in Tarrant, just outside Birmingham. She was a guest at a Labor Day gathering and did not live in Tarrant. Officers were called just after 10 p.m.; Harrison was found mortally wounded inside the residence and pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner later identified her, confirming she was from Birmingham.
