Amaiyh Ayonna Sumlin, a 23-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life following an altercation at her apartment on Riverview Road in Overton, Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred on April 6, 2025, and resulted in Amaiyh sustaining gunshot wounds. She was rushed to UAB Hospital, where she fought for her life but ultimately succumbed to her injuries on April 12, 2025.
