In the fall of 2016, a life was cut short in Tulsa, Oklahoma, leaving a family in mourning and a community searching for answers. Shimon Jones, a 41-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot on the evening of October 19, 2016. The incident occurred at the Savanna Landing Apartments, located in the 1100 block of East 60th Street, where an argument escalated to a tragic and irreversible conclusion.
