A promising future was tragically cut short on the evening of May 28, 2026, when 23-year-old Brett Scrogham was fatally shot in a downtown Indianapolis parking garage. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 100 block of South Capitol Avenue, near the Indiana Convention Center. Scrogham was discovered with gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital in very critical condition.
