Ricardo Jones, a 23-year-old man from Richmond, Virginia, was killed on Sunday morning, June 7, 2026, in Richmond's East End. The shooting happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Ford Avenue, near Fairfield Way and Mechanicsville Turnpike. When Richmond Police officers arrived, they found Jones suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
