In the early moments of an autumn Wednesday, the life of Roddell L. Mayfield, a 27-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On October 16, 2019, just after midnight, the sound of gunfire pierced the quiet of the Jefferson Townhouses on Mosby Street in Richmond, Virginia. When police officers arrived at the 700 block of the residential area, they discovered Mayfield suffering from a gunshot wound.
