Demond Winston, a 41-year-old African American man from Richmond, Virginia, tragically lost his life on February 20, 2025, in what authorities have classified as a targeted shooting. Winston was driving eastbound on Interstate 64 near Mechanicsville Turnpike when he was shot in the abdomen.
