Julie Alquisalas King, a 33-year-old mother of two, was reported missing in Sarasota, Florida, in 1991 under troubling circumstances. Originally from the Philippines, Julie had moved to Florida in the late 1980s to marry Lance King, with whom she lived at their residence in the 1000 block of Cronley Place. Despite her commitment to her children and her family back in the Philippines, Julie disappeared sometime between July and August 1991, and her husband, Lance, did not report her missing.
It was only when Julie’s family in the Philippines became concerned after not hearing from her for a prolonged period that they alerted authorities.
Julie’s sudden disappearance was particularly suspicious because, according to her family, it would have been out of character for her to leave without warning, especially as she was deeply devoted to her two young children. She had few social connections in the U.S. and no other relatives nearby, making it even more concerning that she had simply vanished without a trace.
Despite multiple inquiries and the involvement of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, there have been few developments in the case. Lance King reportedly told authorities that Julie had left of her own accord, but there has been no verification of this, and her family continues to believe that something more sinister may have occurred.
