In the late evening hours of Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in Richmond, Virginia, emergency services were dispatched to the 1600 block of Rosecrest Avenue following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival at approximately 9:56 p.m., police officers discovered a male on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was identified as 47-year-old Rashad Baylor, a resident of Richmond. He was immediately transported to a local hospital with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening.
