On a Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2026, a tragic event unfolded on McKinney Street on the east side of Detroit that claimed the lives of two siblings. Raye Johnson, a 33-year-old man, and his 27-year-old sister, Tacoreya "Rita" Johnson, were fatally shot in what police have described as a targeted attack.
