Dawn Andrea Svocak, a 20-year-old art student from SUNY Plattsburgh, was reported missing on August 17, 1984, after failing to return to her apartment in Plattsburgh, New York. Svocak had last been seen in the early morning hours, around 2:30 AM, near Blair's Bar in the city. Despite an extensive search, her body was not found until over a month later on September 21, 1984.
