On July 5, 2023, the body of 31-year-old Kyle Danielson was discovered inside a garbage bag on 104th Street in East Elmhurst, Queens. He had suffered a gunshot wound to his torso and lacerations to his throat and body.
The following day, on July 6, police conducted a search of the family residence and found the body of his mother, 58-year-old Cheryl Myrick, with stab wounds to her neck.
