Deborah Januszko, 15, a White female from the Jamaica section of Queens, was asleep in the ground-floor bedroom of her family home in the early hours of June 17, 1972, when violence came through the night air. Around 3:30 a.m., a knife was driven into her chest through an open window as she lay in bed.
