Joann Gravette, a 36-year-old resident of Far Rockaway, Queens, was tragically killed on January 27, 2016. Her death was the result of a violent incident involving her estranged fiancé, Tyquan Long. Gravette had an active order of protection against Long, stemming from their tumultuous relationship. Despite this, Long confronted Gravette at her Beach 32nd Street apartment.
