In the late hours of April 23, 2026, the life of 56-year-old Mark Nash, a Black male, was tragically cut short on the 2800 block of West Cold Spring Lane in Baltimore, Maryland. Nash was found at approximately 11:39 p.m., the victim of a fatal shooting. The incident, which occurred in the Northern District of the city, quickly prompted a homicide investigation by the Baltimore Police Department.
The investigation into Nash's death led authorities to a suspect, 29-year-old Taiwan Gray of
Baltimore. Warrant Apprehension detectives successfully located and arrested Gray without incident on April 29, 2026, in the 2600 block of Wilkens Avenue. Following his arrest, Gray was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and formally charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killing of Mark Nash.
Further details emerged following Gray's arrest, revealing a concerning criminal history. Court records indicated that at the time of Nash's murder, Gray was on probation for a 2021 felony drug conviction, which included charges for possession with intent to distribute narcotics and a weapons violation. He had been sentenced to five years in prison for the prior offenses, but a judge had suspended all but about four months of that sentence.
