Originally hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, he was known among his peers and family as a dedicated business student who had previously excelled in high school athletics, participating in wrestling, basketball, and volleyball.
His background included a love for nature, movies, and strategy games like poker, and he held a close connection to a sports camp in North Carolina where he had spent significant time.
On December 4, 2025, he visited the Athens Gun Club located along the Atlanta Highway. While at the facility, he rented a firearm which was subsequently used in an incident that authorities later determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. First responders were called to the scene, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, December 5. His death prompted an outpouring of grief from his community, with memorial services arranged to honor his memory and the impact he left on those who knew him.
Because the police investigation concluded that the shooting was self-inflicted, law enforcement did not identify or pursue any suspects in relation to the case. There were no arrests made and no criminal charges filed, as the evidence gathered at the scene ruled out foul play.
