Daniel Joseph Macias, a 28-year-old male, was tragically shot and killed on August 13, 2016, in Athens, Georgia. The incident occurred as Macias was walking to his car, which was parked on East Hancock Avenue, near the Athens-Clarke County Courthouse. The shooting took place around 2:35 a.m., shortly after Macias left the 9d’s Bar on East Clayton Street.
