Ashawn Adams, a 16-year-old African American male from Athens, GA, tragically lost his life on May 17, 2021, in a shooting incident. The Athens-Clarke County Police Department responded to a call on Marlborough Downs Road, where they found Ashawn Adams deceased at the scene. Alongside him was 21-year-old Casey Parten from Flowery Branch, who had also been shot and was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
