Quamiek Malik Aziz, a 27-year-old African American male from Athens, GA, tragically lost his life on December 29, 2020. Aziz was fatally shot at the Rolling Ridge apartment complex during an altercation involving counterfeit money. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. when Athens-Clarke County police officers, who were already at the complex investigating a stolen car report, heard gunfire and responded immediately.
