Brynarius Smith, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on April 16, 2022, in Athens, Georgia. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Cone Drive at the Nellie B. Homes complex. According to police reports, officers responded to the scene around 2 a.m. and found Brynarius Smith with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
