Javious Cordez Tucker, a 24-year-old African American male, was killed on February 2, 2014, in Athens, Georgia. The tragic events of that Super Bowl Sunday unfolded from a seemingly trivial argument over a bag of pork skins. Tucker was at a gathering on Lombardy Circle with others, including Melvin Lewis Brown Jr., who was also 24 at the time. An argument began when Brown refused to share his snack with Tucker.
