Curry Cole Holloway, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed near Trail Creek Park in Athens, Georgia, on February 4, 2019. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. when Athens-Clarke County Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Trail Creek and First streets. Upon arrival, officers found Holloway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
