In the late summer of 1986, a young woman named Cynthia Mae Schmidt, age 18, vanished from St. Cloud, Minnesota. She was last seen on August 6, 1986, at the Riverview Trailer Court where she lived. Cynthia, who was also known as Cindy, disappeared along with her boyfriend, Ronnie Leo Bromenschenkel.
