On Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, five-year-old Andreas Woodland, a boy from Indianapolis, Indiana, was critically wounded by what investigators describe as an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot inside a townhome on the city’s southwest side; the Marion County Coroner later publicly identified him by name, and available reporting does not specify his ethnicity.
