On a summer evening in Lafayette, Indiana, the life of 26-year-old Clarence Smith Jr. was tragically cut short. On July 28, 2011, Smith was found shot to death in the foyer of an apartment at Bristol Woods on Summertime Trail. The investigation into his death swiftly led to the identification and arrest of three young men: 22-year-old Kevin K. Williams, 21-year-old Michael A. Foster, and 23-year-old D'Artagnan Porche.
