On a November evening in Indianapolis, the life of 26-year-old Frederick Martin was tragically cut short. Just before 8:30 p.m. on November 8, 2024, police were called to the 1500 block of North Arlington Avenue, where they found Martin in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
For several months, the case remained under investigation.
Then, a breakthrough came on February 24, 2025, when 18-year-old Stanley Proctor of Indianapolis turned himself in to the police. Following this development, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged him with murder.
A second suspect was apprehended on the morning of June 18, 2025. IMPD's Violent Crimes Unit located and arrested Glori Rhoades in the 1700 block of Zwingley Street. The prosecutor's office subsequently charged Rhoades with murder and armed robbery in connection with Martin's death. Both Proctor and Rhoades were scheduled for court appearances in late June 2025.
