On November 8, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred on the east side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Frederick Martin. The incident took place in the 1500 block of North Arlington Avenue, a commercial area, just south of East 16th Street. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to a report of a person shot around 8:35 p.m..
