On May 27, 1988, 37-year-old Ernest Washington was found deceased from a gunshot wound to his upper body in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred on New World Drive, south of Watkins Road in Franklin County. Authorities were alerted to the crime, and the Columbus Police Department took over the investigation, but the case has remained unsolved since then. The circumstances surrounding Washington's death have not been clarified, and no significant leads or suspects have emerged over the years.
