On December 25, 2024, at approximately 9:40 a.m., 30-year-old Demetris Mitchell was fatally shot in the 1700 block of East Weber Road in Columbus, Ohio. Responding to reports of gunfire, Columbus Police officers found Mitchell suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead at 10:29 a.m.
