On June 3, 2024, at approximately 9:54 p.m., a shooting occurred at Krumm Park on Alton Avenue in east Columbus, Ohio, resulting in the deaths of 29-year-old Lonnie Johnston and 18-year-old Jakwaun Kimbro. The incident took place during a candlelight vigil held for 18-year-old Da’Mya Cummerlander, who had been fatally shot on June 2 during a graduation party.
