On October 15, 2016, Deshawn Jones, aged 27, was shot and killed near the Oakland Park Bar and Grill in Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place around 1:55 a.m. when Columbus Police officers were dispatched to 1427 Oakland Park Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found Deshawn slumped over behind the wheel of his car, which was parked across the street from the bar in a day care parking lot.
