In the summer of 2019, the life of 40-year-old Adam Nicholas Swim, a White male known for his kind soul and infectious smile, was tragically cut short. On the night of Sunday, June 16, 2019, he became the victim of a violent crime in his Charleston, West Virginia home. Friends and family remember him as a charismatic man who loved fishing, camping, and striking up conversations with new people. His sudden and violent death left his community in shock and mourning.
