In the early morning hours of December 7, 2023, the life of Anthony Michael Souvanlasy, a 37-year-old male, was tragically cut short in South Charleston, West Virginia. A United States Marine veteran who had served in Iraq, Souvanlasy was found deceased along First Avenue. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. At the time he was discovered, a bicycle was with him. The discovery of his body launched a homicide investigation by the South Charleston police.
