On a Sunday afternoon in Charleston, West Virginia, on December 27, 2015, a 29-year-old man from Ripley named Bryan Rogers was shot on the city's West Side. The incident occurred near the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Rebecca Street. After being shot in the upper body at close range, Rogers managed to walk into the nearby West Side Market and Deli where he collapsed. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
