In the summer of 2010, the life of a young Black/African American man, Robert Veltri, was tragically cut short at the age of 21. On June 23rd, in Charleston, West Virginia, a violent encounter inside a home on the West Side would leave Veltri dead and his younger brother, Antonio, wounded. The incident sent ripples of shock and grief through their family and the community.
