On the evening of September 11, 2024, the life of Jyilek Zyiare Harrington, a 21-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Charleston, West Virginia. A senior and a linebacker for the West Virginia State University football team, Harrington was found inside an apartment on Regency Drive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The incident, which is being investigated by police as a homicide and a potential home invasion, unfolded at approximately 8:30 p.m.
