In the fading light of a Monday evening on September 14, 2020, the life of 25-year-old Grant Patterson, a White/Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in Charleston, West Virginia. He was a passenger in a black Mercury Sable, traveling through the 500 block of Ohio Avenue on the city's West Side, when the familiar calm was shattered by the sound of gunfire. An unknown individual in a white SUV, possibly a Jeep Liberty, unleashed a barrage of bullets at the vehicle Patterson was in.
