In the early morning hours of New Year's Day 2021, a dispute in a convenience store parking lot in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, turned deadly, claiming the life of 19-year-old Caleb Marcum of Red House. The fatal encounter occurred around 2 a.m. in the parking lot of a Sheetz, where an altercation between two men, reportedly over a woman, escalated to violence.
