On August 15, 2016, 22-year-old Malyk Shelby was shot during a domestic dispute at the Columbus Park apartment complex on Winslow Drive, on the Southeast Side of Columbus, Ohio. Officers and medics responded at 4:19 p.m. to a reported incident involving Shelby and his live-in girlfriend. Upon arrival, they found Shelby suffering from a gunshot wound.
