Antohn Fatman Saunders Jr., a 19-year-old male from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost his life on December 12, 2021. He was fatally shot in the chest while with a group of men on Alexdon Court in east Columbus. The shooter, identified as 20-year-old Avonte Sanford, fled the scene and was later charged with Saunders' murder. Sanford was already out on bond for a previous charge of shooting a 16-year-old girl. The incident marked Columbus' 189th homicide of the year.
