Death by Force

On February 12, 2024, Indianapolis authorities responded to a call at approximately 6 a.m. regarding an unresponsive male at the Towne and Terrace Apartments on the city's far east side. Upon arrival, officers discovered 51-year-old Clevester Brown Jr., an African American male, suffering from at least one gunshot wound inside a residence on Brentwood Drive. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene, and the Marion County Coroner’s Office later ruled his death a homicide.
